Has charged the customer Rs 11,000 to a user whereas the warrant of the phone is still on live and then the user filed a case on the service centre in Bangalore court. then the city central court has given its judgment to pay back the money of the phone to the user fully.
To know more depth of the story the user named Madhusudan bought Xiaomi Redmi 2 on the date March 24, 2015. he purchased the smartphone through an e-commerce site Flipkart on the price tag of 6,999 until this is fine on October 8,
The user phone display was suddenly gone blank and empty which stopped working and he cant receive the calls are make any phone calls and it was only vibrating this happen after the 7 months of the usage.
The user searched for the authorised service centre in Koramangala and that is named as the TVs electronics limited this was an authorised Xiaomi service centre in Bangalore. and when He reached to they said to the user that his screen. was dead and he needs to replace that screen with new one that is going to charge him 2,500 whereas the user was agreed to pay that money for the new display.
After few days passed they call back and said to the user that his phone motherboard also has a problem which is going to change them more money so they suggested buy a new phone.
But the Madhusudan asked the company to give his money back he mailed to the Xiaomi about this suivation but he never got the reply so he filed a case on the company in the consumer court Bangalore 15, 2015.
After the 2 years of wait, the case in court where the Xiomi has produced all the norms of the smartphone about the warranty and company policy they produced the documents about the limited warranty and the one year on the hardware and the 6 months on the battery.
In the year 2018 where the case reached to final hearing, the court pointed that the smartphone has the warranty and the service centre need to do it for free but they charged him and refused to refund his money. and the court was said that was not a good practice to treat a user like that.
so finally the court order to the Xiaomi and the TVs electronics need to pay 10,999 to the to the user Madhusudan.
